Fundraising, for many nonprofits, are the sole way funds are produced to continue the necessary programming needed in our community. This fundraising campaign had a goal of $300,000 during one of Calgary’s most volatile economic downturns. Not only did this campaign reach it’s fundraising goal, it created unprecedented engagement, followership and community outreach.
Not only did one in 10 Calgarians see this campaign on social media, the organization doubled, and in some cases tripled, its “new donor” base and online donation base. All of this was done through the power of storytelling — the most powerful persuasive tool communicators and fundraisers have at their disposal.
